Terah is a freelance writer and travel consultant based in Atlanta; although she
also finds "home" on the road, anywhere the New York Yankees are, and outside the borders and boundaries of familarity. She
has watched the sunrise at the beginning of America, trekked through the jungles in the Bokeo Nature Reserve, searched for
William Clark’s grave in St. Louis, used her looks for free gondola rides in Venice, learned the art of Laotian cooking
in Vientiane, studied the Soufriere Hills Volcano on Montserrat, walked the Slovenian Coast, and much more.
She has an eye for detail, a flair for language, and 4+ years of experience
writing and editing for publications and blogs. Terah specializes in travel, health, business, fitness, and lifestyle,
but has experience writing about every possible subject - including water well drilling!
Her work has appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines including National
Geographic Traveler, Women's Health, Hallmark, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Backpacker, Draft, WNC Magazine, Senses, Montgomery
Living, I Do For Brides, Pizza Today, Industry, Club Industry, Southern Arts Journal, Beauty Store Business, P.I. Magazine,
Byline, and many more. Terah is a regular contributor to Event Solutions and ConventionSouth
and a travel contributor to Accent Gwinnett and Gwinnett Daily Post.
She also blogs about outdoor sports, adventure travel, aviation, and women's health at
Creative Weblogging's Outdoor and Aviation Weblogs, business/corporate travel at Know More Media's Corporate Treat and is founder/owner of Travelers'
Pen, a travel consultation business that plans vacations and addresses/answers travel and travel-related questions.
Lastly, she teaches 'How to Travel the World on a Budget', 'The Art of Italian Travel', 'Blogging 101', and 'Travel Basics' at Emory University in Atlanta and Wallace Community
College.
The bottom line: I'm good, I'm experienced, and I can get the job done.
Praise
"As lead writer and editor of a daily travel blog, Vagablond, I work
with about a dozen contributors from around the globe. Just in the past five months, Terah Shelton has become my favorite
writer. Her articles are always interesting. Her prose is always succinct. Her travel writing skills are always on target
to what would pique the interest of a reader. And her attitude is always positive. In fact, in many ways, this “student”
has become my “teacher.”
As a freelancer for Event Solutions magazine, national trade publication for event planners, Terah has quickly become one of our favorite writers. Not only does she
turn in error-free and accurate work in a timely manner, but she is a savvy storyteller and pays great attention to how best
to meet the needs of of our readers. She is truly engaged in her work, and it shows in her writing. It continues to be
a pleasure to work with her.

What you've done becomes the judge of what you're going to do - especially
in other people's minds. When you're traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don't have your
past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.
